The Workplace Finnish Training is an employee language training package tailored to the needs of employers. The aim of the training is to improve the personnel’s, who have a foreign background, ability to handle their work tasks in Finnish. The training strengthens employees’ Finnish language skills and helps them succeed and develop in their work. Language training focuses on the professional vocabulary needed in work tasks and the communication situations encountered at work.
The objective, content, duration, and method of the training will be agreed with the employer. The training can be tailored for the needs of small, medium, and large enterprises. The government, municipalities, joint municipal authorities, and parishes can also use the service.
The Workplace Finnish Training is co-funded by the employer and the labour administration and the company’s contribution is 30–50% of the total price.
In the Lahti region, Workplace Finnish Training is organised by Salpaus Further Education.
